Dresden Town Elections 2014
Rzasa won’t seek to keep Dresden positions
Dresden’s Kim Rzasa has been serving the town in elected positions most of the time she’s lived there.
Now, the town clerk, treasurer and excise tax collector has decided she will not seek reelection in June.
“It’s time,” Rzasa said March 31.
She said she had no specific plans for her time when she completes her 17 years of service. And she has no plans to move out of Dresden.
What will Rzasa, 58, miss about working at the town office? “All the people,” she said.
Nomination papers are due at the town office April 25 for each of the three positions, as well as property tax collector, third selectman, budget review committee member and a school district director’s seat.
