Ann M. Snyder
Ann ‘Annie’ Marie Snyder, 75, of Boothbay Harbor passed away at her home on Aug. 30, 2023.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1947 to parents Lloyd and Thelma Koonz. Annie grew up in Augusta and attended local schools, graduating from Cony High School and receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine.
Annie was a jewelry designer and dealer; she would purchase and sell antique jewelry from Maine all the way to Florida. She had a wealth of knowledge about antique jewelry and she loved restoring old pieces.
Annie was the most free spirit you could ever meet. She was the Bay Landing Christmas Elf, leaving presents for all of her neighbors. She was hilarious, but was also a very thoughtful, determined, intelligent, organized, and detail-oriented woman. She learned through music playing classical piano, and taught patience as a photography studio manager. She was a travel agent in her youth and that allowed her the ability to travel the globe.
She was very family-oriented. Annie was so loved by all of her family and friends, as she loved them. Her grandchildren were her world!
Annie was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Belcher (Aaron) of Brunswick and Ann Dicorcia of Natick, Massachusetts; son Nathan Snyder (Meredith) of St. Petersburg, Florida; and grandchildren Kaleb and Logan Belcher of Brunswick, and Danielle and Caitlin Dicorcia of Natick, Massachusetts.
Annie’s family will honor her life privately.
