The employees of Wiscasset Ambulance Service recently recognized Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Kristin Draper as the 2017 Employee of the Year.

Draper has been a member of the department since 2009. She holds herself accountable for her actions and has a high standard of quality in the delivery of service. She assists with additional non-medical duties including supply duties such as organization, procurement and inventory. She assisted in the transitioning of hospital-based medication to in-house supplied medication. Draper assists with department administrative duties when required. She continues to manage the public relations (social media) for the department. She is nationally certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician and oversees the Child Safety Seat Distribution Center in Lincoln County.

She has lived in Wiscasset since 2008 with her son, Nate, and her dog, Lucky. She volunteers her time with the Westport Fire Department and continues to be active in the community.
