Garden Club of Wiscasset plant sale
The Garden Club of Wiscasset's annual plant sale is May 12 at the Wiscasset Municipal Building at Routes 1 and 27 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The club is known for healthy, robust plants at reasonable prices and gathered from our members’ gardens and other reputable area gardens. We will have a variety of locally grown hybrid heirloom peonies, day lilies, bleeding hearts, hostas and a variety of shrubs. Handmade hypertufa pots will be for sale – perfect for patios, garden settings or filled with a favorite plant. A great idea for Mother's Day.
Once again there will be a children's table with books, seeds and plants to inspire young gardeners.
The proceeds from the plant sale go directly to the Wiscasset area in the form of maintenance projects for the Nickels-Sortwell House, the Cancer Center in Bath, the Pownalborough Court House, Wiscasset Public Library and Sunken Garden.
There will be a bake sale, garden gear and experienced gardeners to answer your questions. This indoor/outdoor sale takes place rain or shine. For further information or if you have perennials you would like divided and donated, please call Lisa Freeman at 207-720-0801.
