Here’s to being happier!
I don’t know about you, but it has been a struggle for me to remain truly happy since about March 2020 … which is when you know what happened.
Yes, there have been many personal happy events in the nearly two years since the COVID-19 pandemic began, such as my son Tim and his wonderful lady, Megan, becoming engaged to wed, and several other memorable family moments, but the constant news about the virus has worn on all of us and it remains in the back of my mind, and perhaps it remains on your daily radar, too.
New year’s resolutions are just that ... you resolve to accomplish something in the coming year. I have failed at weight loss (thank you, pandemic) and getting rich – well, forget that!
This week I stumbled across a website, The Society of Happy People, which has been around since 1998. The website offers ideas to avoid “happiness zappers” and suggestions on how to get and stay happy – mostly about enjoying the things that make you happy. The website owner, Pamela Gail Johnson, also provides worksheets to help one get happy. After reading about it, I signed up to receive daily emails, which are quotes about happiness. Haven’t gotten to the worksheets yet.
I guess that is my new year’s resolution. To get happier!
Hope you can find more happiness in 2022! See you next year!
