Margaret M. Taber
Margaret “Peg” Mutch Taber passed away peacefully in Columbus, Ohio on Jan. 23, 2024.
She was born in Wayne, Pennsylvania to the late Gordon and Carolyn (Howell) Mutch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; Tom Taber III and many beloved family pets.
Peg was the mother to Brittain and Tom IV. Peg and her husband raised their family in Ohio and California.
Peg was a lover of all animals and could always be found rescuing strays or helping wild animals. She volunteered her time at both her children’s schools from elementary through high school. She also managed the small store for the Cleveland Ballet in the late 1980s. When her husband Tom retired they both traveled, built houses in Michigan and Boothbay Harbor and read hundreds of books while at breakfast diners and greasy spoons throughout New England.
Peg will be greatly missed by her children, their spouse, 4 grandchildren and her older brother Andy.
Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Peg’s memory to Rescue Village Humane Society in Novelty, Ohio.
