Not good, good
Not good was realizing Monday’s Memorial Day service in Wiscasset was the first since longtime participant Clara Wentworth and community events regular and past selectman Katharine Martin-Savage died.
Good was seeing some new faces and most of the usual ones at the gathering.
Not good is Wiscasset still has some big ticket projects ahead on infrastructure and more.
Good is Wiscasset’s town manager keeps pursuing grants, with some six and seven-digit successes to date.
Not good was playing someone with a hurt ankle in game seven of the Celtics-Heat series. (Disclaimer: Due to only observing playoffs, I know little about basketball or other pro sports, except tenpin bowling.)
Good, extremely good, is the memory viewers and listeners will long have of the incredible, impeccable put-back that led to game seven.
Not good, if you did not write a letter about the June 13 ballot and wanted to, is it is too late to send us one on the Wiscasset and Westport Island elections or other June 13 ballot items. Now tell it to the ballot box, if you have not yet.
Good was that residents kept those letters coming right up to the wire last Friday.
Week’s positive parting thought: Enjoy the totally blue sky any day we get it.
