Rehearsals begin for ‘Now and Then’
The Waldo Theatre has announced today that its upcoming community theatre production of “Now and Then” has been cast and is now in rehearsals. Scheduled to open on March 30, “Now and Then” is a heartfelt romantic comedy about the costs of the choices we make, and their impact on the people who make them with us.
The four-member cast: Lisa Kavanaugh of Camden, Emma Theobalds of Thomaston, Dwight Burtis of Thomaston, and Cullen Burke of Friendship. The play is being directed by Peter Henderson of Tenants Harbor and produced by George Bates of Waldoboro.
“We had a terrific turnout for our recent auditions, with more than 20 very talented actors auditioning for just four roles,” said Henderson. “We’re really excited about this script and its clever take on second thoughts and second chances. Now and Then is so thoughtful, funny, and bittersweet, and will surely feel familiar to anyone who has ever fallen in love, out of love, or missed an opportunity for love.”
Performances are currently scheduled for March 30, and April 5-7. Online tickets go on sale on Friday, Feb. 2. More information about the play can be found at: thewaldotheatre.org/nowandthen.
