School referendum information and more
We are hoping you are keeping up with the Boothbay Region school referendum information online as well as in print. The amount of information supplied by the AOS 98 Superintendent’s Office is immense and we will try to get as much information in print as we can. We have already printed some FAQs, stories and meeting notices for the Nov. 7 vote.
In case you have missed it, a lot of information on the proposed costs, plans, etc. are available at https://sites.google.com/aos98schools.org/aos98schoolboards/home/csd-building-exploratory-project?authuser=0
More information is to come.

I was away for five days over the weekend for our son’s and his bride’s wedding in Oxford but upon returning, I heard a few stories that the local roads were busy with visitors – as was to be expected during the Fall Foliage Festival in Boothbay and the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest. Those festivals are boosts to the local economies. We celebrated with the newlyweds locally on Monday night but had to move to another restaurant because, with our first choice, there was already a long waiting list at 5:30 p.m. It seems a busy summer has transitioned into a busy fall … and next up is Gardens Aglow in November and December.

My assistant editor, Susan Johns, has written about the New England Patriots in her editorial this week. She is looking on the bright side but in a point/counterpoint situation, I am not that confident about this season. Perhaps even the New York Jets will finish above the Pats in the standings. Here’s to savoring the good old days of Tom Brady.
