From a “gem” of a retirement village home to an owner-crafted log mansion, the Boothbay Region Garden Club is pleased to present “The Sea Around Us,” a tour of lovely homes and gardens on the Boothbay peninsula.

The tour is Saturday, Aug. 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

With one exception, all properties feature fabulous views of the Sheepscot River, Damariscotta River, Townsend Gut, Linekin Bay and surrounding Islands.

Alice Schambra is arranging for floral designs by Garden Club members for the homes and Nan Jackson is scheduling hostesses available to answer questions about the special features of the homes and plants in the gardens.

Advanced tickets are $20 and tour day $25 available at the Boothbay Region Chamber of Commerce.

The tour benefits the Garden Club’s Civic Development projects. Walking shoes are encouraged as parking will be on the roads and driveways are uneven.
