Wayne Farrin supports community
Dear Editor:
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Wayne Farrin a number of times, and each time I have been struck by how much he cares about people as individuals and about our community. Wayne takes the time to get to know, and truly listens to, the people that he meets.
Wayne’s dedication to our community goes far beyond just listening. As the co-owner of the Jefferson Market and General Store with his wife, he brought a vital resource back to his town. He understands the importance of having a local grocery store that offers a simple, affordable meal or a dozen eggs when you need them. That's a need that still has to be filled in Wiscasset, that I hear talked about all the time.
Wayne has always been a tireless advocate for Main Street, serving on the Damariscotta Chamber of Commerce, coaching softball at Lincoln Academy, and participating in many other community organizations.
His experience as a small business owner and realtor has shown him what our community needs most: better schools, safer roads, and access to essential services like grocery stores. He knows the importance of supporting local businesses and understands the challenges our towns face. Wayne understands that to make Maine stronger, we need leaders who will show up, work hard, and invest in the people who make this place home. Wayne is one of those leaders, and I’m proud to support his candidacy for the Maine House of Representatives.
