Welcome LCTV
We hope you have noticed that we are now publishing press releases from Lincoln County Television (LCTV) located in Newcastle. They are going to become one of our advertising affiliates and have already started filming events in the Boothbay region; they were here during the Lobster Boat Races and Windjammer Days and you can see the Fishin’ For Fashion, Claw Down and other events on their website, https://lctv.org/ We will be adding their videos to our online stories as well when time permits.
LCTV Executive Director Larry Sidelinger and Marketing Director Claire Sommer recently sat down with our Operations Manager/Advertising Sales representative Sarah Morley and me to talk about connecting and expanding coverage. Although the Boothbay region does not broadcast LCTV’s Spectrum/Tidewater 7 programming, LCTV’s effort to cover more of Lincoln County is welcome. Sponsorship is key to allowing them to continue to do so.
“There is so much going on in the Boothbay region and we want to be a part of it,” said Sidelinger during our talk.
Each week, Sidelinger and his “Wuzzup?” sidekick Bobby Whear read the headlines and discuss the stories in the Lincoln County News (another one of our partners). “We are not always politically correct,” said Sidelinger. They have a lot of fun, however, during the half-hour show.
This week, they will be filming a “Wazzup?” show and reading this issue of the newspaper. We hope they enjoy the stories and photos and have some fun as well! Log onto their website to see when the show will be aired.
