Hello friends and neighbors!

Spring is in the air, and things are happening on Westport Island! It’s a great time to connect with folks and share the joy, just like Bailey Bartlett has been doing with her colorful wooden tulip deliveries. On Saturday, May 19, the Westport Community Association invites you to bring an outdoor plant or two to swap or sell at the Old Town Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. Experienced gardeners will be on hand to answer questions that you might have. A raffle will be part of the fun along with refreshments for all.

Proceeds from this event will be applied to the Student Stipend Fund available to qualified Westport residents seeking post-secondary education of any kind. If you like gardening or just enjoy digging in the dirt, we hope you will swap, buy or sell a plant or two while exchanging stories and wisdom with your neighbors. Hope you will stop by to share the joy!

You will also want to attend the grand opening of The Barn at Lulu’s Garden at 389 Main Road this weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Lee Sprague Bodmer and her four friendly alpacas welcome you to stop by and get acquainted.
