Who are the Browns?
A family friend was a huge Cleveland Browns fan. Who are the Browns, you may ask?
Well, my mother made a point of asking, as if in earnest, “Who are the Browns?” whenever she would run into our friend.
“Don’t say that!” he would say.
It was hilarious, and never got old.
I hope our post-Brady Patriots do not inspire similar ribbing many years from now. The gold dust from the dynasty should protect us for years to come, until our next dynasty, however soon or not so soon that could be. Maybe New England’s 38-15 win last Sunday over the Browns – who? – was a good sign.
