Winter Open Mic Series begins Jan. 5

Friday, Jan. 5, marks the first of the monthly Winter Open Mics at the Opera House, providing a stage for local musicians and vocalists, story-tellers and poets and more.
The Open Mic takes place in the upstairs bar, with sign-ups beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the mic going live at 6 p.m. The evening will be emceed by Eric Lowe and John Schindler. Those wishing to perform should plan to arrive before 6, those hoping to grab a seat in the audience to cheer on their neighbors are welcome to arrive anytime after 5:45 p.m. A $5 cover charge is requested at the door.
The bar will be serving drinks and have chili or stew available. Free parking is available for attendees and participants in the Opera House parking lot, 86 Townsend Ave.
