A vacant mobile home was destroyed by fire in Dresden around 4 p.m. Nov. 25. According to Dresden Fire Chief Steve Lilly, the double-wide at 21 Taryn Drive had been vacant since the owner’s recent death.

There were no injuries, but the home is a total loss, Lilly said. Dresden, Wiscasset, Woolwich, Pittston and Richmond fire departments responded, as did Wiscasset Ambulance Service and Gardiner Ambulance Service. Lilly said the fire marshal was investigating the cause. A call to the fire marshal’s office was not immediately returned.

The fire was extinguished quickly, Lilly said.
