Still time to bid in Health Center virtual auction
Boothbay Region Health Center's Virtual Auction continues until Tuesday, Nov. 30 (Giving Tuesday) at 6 p.m. To see what's on offer or to place a bid, go to CharityAuctionsToday.com and type BBGifts4BBHealth in the search bar. Or go directly to the auction at https://charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/bbgiftsforbbhealth-27594
All proceeds will benefit our local community-run non-profit center in the Meadow Mall in Boothbay Harbor.
Here are a few of the more recent auction items that have been posted: a beautiful, large tin fish, handmade by Boothbay artist Dana Moses; oyster nesting bowl, from Allison Evans, Ae Ceramics; a sunset cruise around Boothbay Harbor on the Breakaway III from Peter Ripley; and a red lightning agate jade necklace crafted by Boothbay jewelry designer Jan Brennan.
Where's the most action? In the first few days of the auction, these are the most popular items: Six steamed lobsters for pick up from Atlantic Edge, donated by Fred and Nancy Kelly; whale watch/puffin combo cruise from Cap'n Fish; four baked stuffed lobsters, cooked and delivered, by Stephanie Hawke; custom cruise for 20 on the Nellie G II, donated by George McEvoy; and a box of chocolates sent each month for three months, donated by Orne's Candy Store.
It's not too late to donate an item for the auction. There are already 50 items listed, but we have room for 100!
If you have an item to donate, please contact Patty Seybold at patricia.seybold@boothbayhealthcare.org. Happy Thanksgiving and happy bidding!
