Tapestry Singers is accompanied by the incomparable Sean Fleming on piano and organ.
Maine fiddler Owen Kennedy is an award-winning musician whose love of traditional music and enthusiasm for performing has captivated audiences from San Diego to the Shetland Islands and all over New England. Owen is the 2022 New England Regional Open Scottish Fiddle Champion, the 2021 Junior US National Scottish Fiddle Champion, and won the 2021 Young Stars of Maine "Glenn Jenks Future in Music" prize from Bay Chamber Music School. As an emerging musician rooted in the Maine Maritime tradition and immersed in his growing passion for Scottish music, Owen’s powerful playing can capture the melancholy of a Scottish air, mimic the sound of pipes in a march, or drive a good ol’ New England contradance tune.
Bass-baritone John David Adams is acclaimed for the “depth and power” of his singing and “consistently polished and graceful” performances in a career spanning concert, opera, recital, and professional vocal ensembles. His repertoire ranges from Baroque masterworks to world-premiere compositions, in performances with orchestras, choral organizations, and musical ensembles across the country including the San Francisco Symphony, Hartford Symphony, Portland Symphony, Bangor Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, Arlington Philharmonic, North Shore Philharmonic, San Francisco Bach Choir, Masterworks Chorale, Chorus Pro Musica, Oratorio Chorale, and Longfellow Chorus, as well as the Blue Hill Bach, Portland Bach, White Mountain Bach, Lincoln Arts, and Portland Early Music festivals. His diverse opera and stage credits, from Handel to Sondheim, include productions by Opera Boston, San Francisco Lyric Opera, Granite State Opera, Berkeley Opera, Opera Maine, Apollo Opera, New England Light Opera, and Maine State Music Theater. In addition to performing, he serves on the voice faculty of Bay Chamber Concerts Music School in Rockport.
