James B. Boyd
James Brendan Boyd of Nashua, New Hampshire and Ocean Point, Maine passed away peacefully after a long illness at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts on Jan. 1, 2024.
Jim was born in Biddeford, Maine on Jan. 22, 1947. He was the son of Roland and Kathleen (Curran) Boyd.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Judith (Marchand) Boyd of Nashua, his sons Brendan and Dana, his daughter Caitlin Blanchette, and his granddaughter Audrey Blanchette.
He is also survived by his siblings, R. Garry Boyd, Donna Acquaviva, Kathleen Boyd, and Stephen Boyd; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Boyd.
Jim served in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam from August 1967 to June 1968.
Jim loved spending time with his family. He loved a good round of golf, a lobster or steak (sometimes both), and a single malt scotch.
Donations can be made in Jim’s memory, to the Edith Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital specifically to the Recreation Department. We, Jim’s family believe we owe a debt of gratitude to the Bedford Recreation Department, as Jim formed special friendships with the staff. The recreation department at the VA is a talented, dedicated group who has a special talent for engaging veterans.
