Curbside Queens: ‘Glitter-A-Go-Go’
The Curbside Queens, “Maine’s #1 Traveling Drag Show,” returns to The Waldo Theatre in Waldoboro for one show only on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 8 p.m. with Glitter A-Go-Go, an evening of letting go of the past and embracing the future. Say good riddance to ole 2023 and welcome in the whole of 2024 with open arms with this fabulous drag spectacular, sure to delight and wow! The queens, who performed to a sold-out crowd at The Waldo last July, promise that “Glitter-a-Go-Go” is a new and bigger show featuring back-up dancers, burlesque performances, and a larger drag cast.
“The last time the Queens were here, they literally blew the power out!” said Susan Hodder, The Waldo’s executive director. “Actually, I’m not positive it was their death drops that caused it, but the town’s power did go out for more than 20 minutes during the performance…and the show went on, fabulously, to a packed house.”
This fantastic touring company is known for high-energy performances, jaw-dropping outfits, and all-around glamour.
“If the mood strikes you, audience members are invited to dress to impress in your best glittering outfit,” continued Hodder. “This will be a show that is all about the glitz and glam: perfect for adding warmth and sparkle to a dark, cold January night!”
Advance online tickets are just $25. If show is not sold out, day of show box office tickets are $30. More at: thewaldotheatre.org/theatre.
