Michael Jones, 46, passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, 2024, in Skowhegan, Maine.
Born on October 14, 1977, in Farmington, Maine, Mikey was a bright soul who touched the lives of many.
Mikey, also known as Michael Lloyd Jones, was a free spirit filled with talent and creativity. He owned his own landscaping business, Established Roots, where he nurtured the beauty of nature and created stunning landscapes. Michael's love for nature extended beyond his career, as he cherished spending time outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of the world. His deep connection with animals brought him joy and he found solace in their company.
Known for his infectious sense of humor and unmatched wit, Michael had the remarkable ability to bring a smile or laughter to anyone he encountered. He had a genuine love for his family and friends, and his caring nature shone through in his relationships. Michael cherished his time spent with loved ones, whether it was teaching his niece and nephew how to make stop motion videos, collaborating with friends on movie projects, or using his creativity to craft his own tools.
Michael is survived by his mother, Bonnie Giles of Boothbay Harbor; his father, Charles Jones of Skowhegan; his sister, Darcy Jackson of Augusta; his best friend Windy Nichols of Boothbay Harbor; and his adored nephews and nieces, Seth Petersen, Jayden Dodge, Destiny Petersen, Adriana Hills and Juno Jackson. He also leaves behind his beloved grandmother, Joyce Tuttle, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from all over.
In accordance with Michael's wishes, there will be no memorial service. The love that he received during his lifetime is deeply felt by his family, and they find comfort in the memories they shared with him.
The Hall Funeral Home in Boothbay, Maine, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Michael's bright spirit and zest for life will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
