Jerry Farnham author talk
Boothbay Harbor native son Jerry Farnham’s first author talk on Jan. 27 at Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library was attended by enthusiastic fans - many of whom had read his first novel “Red At Night.”
The mystery and romance novel tells the story of a Boothbay Harbor lobsterman named Jack Finn who meets, and rescues, Hollywood actress Melissa Andrews. She’s fled the Hollywood scene due to some outrageous press to chill out - and what better place than Boothbay Harbor? With imagined and real characters - Clive Farrin and Nick Upham among the latter - Farnham has written a tale that’s hard not to finish in one sitting. It’s got it all - romance, intrigue and interesting twists and turns. Farnham was careful not to reveal too much of the plot at the event - and sold several copies after the talk that were available in soft and hard covers.
The new author talked about his writing process and the amount of research writing projects require. Farnham is currently proofing the completed first draft of the “Red at Night” sequel “Red in the Morning.”
That afternoon, Farnham had another author talk at Brady’s Restaurant.
