Jud Caswell concert and CD release party
Music at Merry Barn kicks off its 2024 season with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration and CD release party.
Singer-songwriter Jud Caswell will perform at the barn on Saturday, March 9, with songs from “The Homebound Hooligans,” a collection of Irish and folk music. This compilation feels a bit like a one-man ceilidh – where songs of love and loss are buoyed by rollicking singalongs. Join us for an evening of the same on guitar, banjo, cittern, whistle, and more, as we celebrate the Emerald Isle!
Jud Caswell is an award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been performing in his native state of Maine and beyond for more than 25 years. In 2006 he made a splash on the national scene, winning the legendary Kerrville New Folk competition. He’s had his songs taught at Berklee, recorded by Judy Collins, and named “#4 Song of the Decade” by New York’s WFUV. His record “Live at the Seagull Shop” was the number 1 album on the Folk Alliance International radio charts in March of 2020.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. concert. Tickets: Adults - $20, Kids - $10. Purchase online at merrybarn.com.
