Bay Chamber presents Rasa String Quartet
On Wednesday, May 8 at 1 p.m. in Rockport’s Union Hall, 24 Central St., Bay Chamber presents Rasa String Quartet in the final concert of their annual Midday Music Series. The Quartet’s music program showcases music by Joaquin Turina, Felix Mendelssohn, and more.
Boston-based Rasa String Quartet has emerged as one of New England’s finest ensembles, finding their niche exploring the musical space where classical and folk traditions intersect. The quartet received first prize in the Associazione Europea Di Musica E Comunicazione International Chamber Music Competition (Italy), and have performed across the US including multiple appearances with Rockport Music, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society and Boston New Music Festival.
Bay Chamber’s Midday Music Series features innovative artists and ensembles and offers a midday break in the relaxed atmosphere of Union Hall. Audience members are welcome to bring a lunch. Tickets are $38 for adults age 35 and over, $20 for adults ages 22-34 and Pay What You Wish for those age 21 and under. Tickets include coffee and cookies available before the concert.
