Coastal Humane Society hosts annual plant sale
The Coastal Humane Society will host its 13th anniversary plant sale to raise money for shelter animals on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. The sale will be held at 190 Pleasant Street, Brunswick from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
The sale features annuals, vegetables, shrubs, bulbs, perennials, bulbs, seeds, trees, decorative pots and other items. Homemade baked goods will be available for purchase, and the shelter’s new executive director, Joe Montisano, will be grilling up hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers.
New to the sale this year are high-end raffle items, among them a 7-day stay at a beach-front condo (with pool) on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Tickets for the 7-day St. Thomas condo can be purchased at the sale, at either shelter building (190 Pleasant Street or 30 Range Road) or online at www.coastalhumanesociety.org.
