Have you or your children ever used woodblocks to make prints?

Studio 53 Fine Art Gallery, 53 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor is pleased to host sessions in woodblock printing as part of their 2012 Holiday Event, and you are invited to try this charming, antique method of printmaking. Come and create family treasures that you can gift, or display for years of memory making.

When we live with art we pause and connect with life on so many levels. The images range from lobster boats with evergreens to chickadees, all seasonally appropriate.

Studio 53 will open for the first three weekends in December transformed into a holiday showcase with samplings of the regions riches created by elfish artists.

The workshops for the woodblock printing will be tutored by Villard Studios each Sunday on December 2, 9 and 16 from noon to 3 p.m. All materials are supplied, just bring your creativity.
