Pamela Gilchrist Munnell, 61, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Pam grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts where she graduated from Dana Hall and then graduated from Wooster College in Dayton, Ohio. She grew up as a summer native in Boothbay Harbor, residing in Bayville, her favorite place to spend time with family. Pam was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and sense of fun left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
A dedicated wealth management associate at Morgan Stanley, Pam approached her work with the same passion and care that she brought to every aspect of her life. But, she was a woman who prioritized family above everything else. She was fiercely loyal, always putting the needs of others before her own, and she had a natural ability to make those around her feel loved and cared for.
Pam’s laughter was infectious, her spirit resilient, and her zest for life unmatched. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a joke to lighten the mood, or simply being present for those who needed her, she embodied warmth and compassion. She was a caregiver at heart, always ensuring that her family and friends felt supported and cherished.
She is survived by her father, Barrett Gilchrist; her beloved husband, Hamilton Munnell; her daughter, Brittany Munnell; and her son, Christopher Munnell. Though her time on this earth was far too short, the love and joy she shared will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to honor her memory. She believed in the connection between people and that when we experience joy, the loved ones we’ve lost feel that joy. “When we smile, they smile.”
Pam will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, selflessness and fun will never be forgotten.
