Marcia Kehew Boynton, 91, died Jan. 25, 2025, after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born April 25, 1933, in Syracuse, New York, daughter of the late Curtis L. Kehew and Florence (Tyler) Kehew. Marcia was the middle of three daughters and grew up in the Waban section of Newton, Massachusetts and graduated from Newton High School.
Marcia met the love of her life Rod Boynton, and on Sept/ 21, 1957, they wed. The family lived for many years raising their five children in Framingham, Natick and Orleans in Massachusetts and Milford and Nashua in New Hampshire. Marcia and Rod retired to Boothbay Harbor and resided there for 20 years before moving to Exeter, New Hampshire.
Marcia had a long and varied work history including marketing at Digital Equipment Corp. and real estate sales in New Hampshire and Maine.
Marcia loved her family, and we all have many fond memories of our adventures over the years. She was always smiling with kind words for all, and her quick wit endeared her to so many. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marcia had a gift for entertaining and gathering her neighbors, enjoyed her beautiful gardens and was an avid reader. After retirement Marcia and Rod enjoyed traveling the world.
She is survived by son, Stephen Boynton and his wife Nancy Boynton of Northborough, Massachusetts; daughters, Robin Boynton of Joppa, Maryland, Debora Boynton Swain of Exeter, New Hampshire, Donna Boynton Daigle and her husband Dan Daigle of Brentwood, New Hampshire, and Linda Boynton of Raymond, New Hampshire; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private services are being held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
