Charles Scott Heino, 67, of Ripley, Maine died unexpectedly of natural causes on Jan. 30, 2025 at his home.
Scott was born in Rumford on Aug. 13, 1957, the son of Charles H. Heino and Reona (Bean) Heino.
He graduated from Boothbay Region High School in the Class of 1975 where he played football, basketball, and was a member of the golf team.
At an early age, Scott developed a strong work ethic and after high school, he began a long career as a commercial fisherman. He started working on lobster boats and moved on to draggers. He was well known by boat captains and fished off the coast of Maine, Massachusetts, the Outer Banks, Alaska, and California. Later on, he drove taxis in the Bangor area and spent several years as an over the road truck driver.
Scott simply loved people and had many lifelong friendships. His kindhearted soul found him befriending just about anyone he met, and he cherished each and every relationship.
Scott took pride in being well read in all sports, politics, and current events. He loved all sports, especially baseball. He was a dedicated follower of the Red Sox. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking, and bird watching.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
Surviving are four siblings: Michial Heino (wife Dianne) of Belgrade Lakes, Pamela Aloupis of Westbrook, Danial Heino of Boothbay Harbor, and Jeffrey Heino of Belgrade as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
