The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 210 calls for service for the period of Dec. 3 to Dec. 10. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 14,415 calls for service.
Summonses
Katrina H. Pearce, 37, of Boothbay was issued a summons Dec. 6 for Endangering the Welfare of a Dependent Person; Operating under the Influence – No Test; Reckless Conduct and Failing to Notify of a Motor Vehicle Accident, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Joseph Booth.
Arthur G. Carey III, 51, of Newcastle was issued a summons Dec. 7 for Violating Condition of Release, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrests
Jaden Day, 19, of Union was arrested Dec. 6 on a Kennebec County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear on Driving to Endanger and Violation of Conditions of Release charges, on US Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Kasey Doyle.
Luke L. Gardiner, 44, of Nobleboro was arrested Dec. 7 on a Lincoln County warrant for Failure to Appear on Operating under the Influence; Driving to Endanger and Failing to Stop for an Officer charges, on Main Street, Nobleboro, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Alexandra C. Arellano, 38, of Damariscotta and Harland D. Hatch, 84, of Bremen. Ms. Arellano was following Mr. Hatch’s 2023 Kia Sportage, in her 2014 Subaru Crosstrek, with both units traveling southbound on Main Street (on ramp to Route 1). Hatch slowed to yield to traffic on Route 1 and Arellano struck his vehicle in the rear end. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Sheepscot Road in Newcastle involving Susan Lord, 71, of East Boothbay. Ms. Lord was operating her 2017 Toyota Prius southbound when she encountered a deer in the roadway and was unable to avoid striking it. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 5, an accident occurred on Thayer Road in Whitefield involving Nevaeh R. Frith, 18, of Pittston. Ms. Frith was operating her 2011 Ford Escape northbound when she lost control on black ice. As a result, she crossed over the southbound lane, left the roadway and struck a tree and a mailbox. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 5, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Jefferson involving Myraelsa S. Winslow, 38, of Warren. Ms. Winslow was operating her 2021 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when she encountered black ice and lost control. As a result, her vehicle crossed the eastbound lane, left the roadway and rolled onto its roof on the side of the road. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 5, an accident occurred on Cooper Road in Whitefield involving Molly M. Palmer, 28, of Whitefield. Ms. Palmer was operating her 2005 Honda CR-V westbound when she lost control on the slushy road surface. As a result, her vehicle crossed the eastbound lane, left the roadway and struck a grove of small trees. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 6, an accident occurred on Hodgkins Hill Road in Jefferson involving Jaiden Herrick, 17, of Warren. Ms. Herrick was operating her 2010 Mazda 3 southbound around a left-hand corner when her vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway and struck some small trees. Deputy Nathan Yeaton was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on Somerville Road in Whitefield involving William M. Hunt, 40, of Belfast. Mr. Hunt was operating his 2024 Honda CR-V northbound when he failed to stop for the stop sign at the Mills Road/Rockland Road intersection. As a result, he crossed the centerline, went off the roadway on the left and then struck an embankment and stop sign, causing front end damage. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on Grand Army Road in Whitefield involving Amber M. Belanger, 36, of Auburn. Ms. Belanger was operating her 2020 Dodge Caravan westbound and as she came over a hill, she stated she got caught in the loose sand, pulling her vehicle off the roadway on the right, where she struck a DOT sign damaging it and sustaining major damage to her vehicle. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 8, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Tulsi Ramroop, 43, of Augusta. Mr. Ramroop was operating his 2008 Subaru Outback southbound, it was snowing and the roadway was slushy and snow covered. Mr. Ramroop began to skid, crossed the centerline, went off the roadway on the left and struck a utility pole, causing front end damage. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
