1790 Tiny House is saved
Dear Editor:
The 1790 Tiny House had a close call recently. Long story short, Monday, Nov. 2, a hole was found in my furnace. I knew something was wrong and had three people out to look at it. As soon as I saw the hole I called Ron’s Oil Heat Service and spoke with Ron French. Ron was down the basement at a house at the time, and said he would stop at my house on his way back from a job. Meanwhile, I called eight other companies just trying to get a quote. I left messages at all eight and followed up with emails on five I left messages with. Some never got back to me, a few said they couldn’t do it until next year, all booked up.
Ron showed up at 4:30. Headed down the basement, told me the bad news I knew, and said he would get back to me with a quote. The next morning, Ron gave me a quote and I held my breath as I asked when he may be able to fit me in. He said Thursday, two days from now. I’m pretty sure I told him I love him, and I would see him Thursday. Thursday morning he and his team were there at 8:30 a.m. and stayed till 2 p.m. Ron, his son Jeff, Jeff’s wife Gale, and their son Jake saved the Tiny House. I could have died of carbon monoxide poisoning (yes, my alarm did go off) or my house could have blown up and caught fire. He did it in a matter of days, when people were telling me months. He came when he said he would, he called me back, he did everything he said, and his quote was better than the only other one I got.
So thank you to Ron French and his team, his family. Their dedication to their profession was above and beyond and outstanding. On the last page of the classifieds you will see Ron’s little advertisement. Call him. Because of them, the 1790 Tiny House lives on for another 230 years.
