Another newly-imagined work by Snowlion Rep
Snowlion Rep continues its work developing new and newly imagined works for the stage with a workshop reading of a new play by Al D'Andrea, “Faust in the Anthropocene,” performing July 27 and 28 at Portland Stage Studio Theater in Portland.
This groundbreaking and startlingly original new work is an exploration of mankind's contemporary crises, featuring “Wisdom Tales from the Land of Snows” woven together with familiar characters from both the Faust legend and our own troubled times. Original music by Aaron Robinson will be heard throughout the show, including the new rock anthem “Kali Yuga” (Dark Age).
The cast of 16 features Portland theater veterans Kevin O'Leary as the perpetually dissatisfied billionaire Faust, Sean Ramey as the playful Tibetan yogi Shabkar, Karen Ball as the sinuous embodiment of Faust's ego Mara, and many more: Harlan Baker, Joe Quinn, Carole Florman, Jesse Reich, Jessica Dunton Fidalgo, Tristan Rolfe, and Randall Tuttle. The cast is rounded out by several up-and-coming young talents: Noli French, Blake Wright, Julia Badaraco, Logan Merrithew, and Alyssa Pearl-Ross.
This workshop is free (donations gladly accepted) and seats are limited. Reservations can be made by calling 207-315-6612 or emailing us at info@snowlionrep.org. Don't miss this exciting theatrical debut!
