‘Art for Art’s Sake’ Aug. 23-25
The Lincoln Arts Festival (LAF) Art Show has been held since 1995, and almost always at a shipyard. For many years now, Hodgdon Yacht Services, at 100 Ebenecook Road, Southport has generously provided just the right space for this show, Art For Art’s Sake.
This year opening is Friday, Aug. 23, 5-7 p.m. with a reception; Saturday, Aug. 24 – aka Interaction Day – hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on the final day, Sunday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There are 21 artists/artisans participating this year, all with links to our region, and seven for the first time. Most of these artists will be participating in “Art Interaction Day” on Saturday, with on-going demos and talks between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those who are not will have an asterisk before their name. Come enjoy the wonderful works of our local talent – and perhaps find a gift or two for a special occasion – or just because you find something you cannot resist!
