Culbertson for third selectman of Alna
Dear Editor:
Charlie Culbertson, recently retired from the U.S. Geological Survey, would like to continue a lifetime of public service as third selectman of Alna.
He’s a scientist by training and brings the rigors of scientific analysis to bear in solving complex problems. But he’s also my neighbor and I know him as a welcoming, generous and industrious person. Charlie’s a worker. He can be seen tending pigs and chickens, pruning old maples from 30 feet up in the air, mowing his extensive fields, engaging his son in batting practice, and sometimes, calming down a cranky neighbor with the help of Scout, his goodwill ambassador dog. This is a person we would all like as a neighbor.
The melding of problem-solving experience, administrative ability and enthusiasm for fieldwork with his downright excellent human qualities make Charlie Culbertson a great choice for third selectman of Alna. Join me in voting for Charlie!
