Dear Editor:

I had two delightful encounters in downtown Wiscasset last week. The first was meeting Keith Rendall of Rendall Gallery (A bonus to discover he is also a Federal Stree neighbor). The second was meeting Keith Oehmig of the Wiscasset Bay Gallery.

I was looking for advice about some paintings. The galleries are side-by-side, and both men collaborate. It was better than “Antiques Roadshow” for getting professional information. Neither gentlemen would take any compensation for sharing their knowledge. I left enlightened, enriched and enjoyed myself. Also with a new appreciation of what our downtown has to offer.
