Later this month Y-Arts is presenting “Elf Jr” at the Lincoln Theater. With a large cast that includes quite a few young children, director Emily Mirabile is looking for backstage volunteers.

“We need adults and middle-high school aged people to help the little ones with their costumes, calm someone who might get too nervous, or ... if one of them gets hurt,” Mirabile explained.

These helper elves, if you will, are needed for rehearsals and performances. No experience back stage is necessary. As Mirabile said, “The kids will really lead the way with you there for support.”

Here are the dates and times help is needed: Monday, Nov. 26, 3:30-6 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 30, 3:30-6;  Saturday, Dec. 1, 3:15-6:30 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 2, 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Contact Emily if you are interested and able to help at: emirabile@brymca.org.
