Win a prize by entering the FARMS (Focus on Agriculture in Rural Maine Schools) T-shirt design contest. Your design should be on an 8.5x11-inch piece of white paper (horizontal or vertical), or if it is a computer generated design, please send it in a jpeg format. Please outline your design in fine black marker.

The winning design will be printed on a FARMS T-shirt or apron and be awarded a first place prize! Second place, third place, and honorable mentions will also be awarded prizes. FARMS' mission is to educate students about good nutrition and the role of local farms in promoting healthy, sustainable communities. We conduct taste tests using locally grown food.  We grow and maintain educational gardens. We connect classrooms, cafeterias, local farms, and communities. We hope to instill lifelong healthy eating habits and good health.  

Tips for a great design: make your lettering readable. Pick a simple design. Drawings will need to be clear, large, and viewable.  Make sure your design has something to do with the subject. Remember to submit your best work. Erase pencil marks and make sure your paper is neat and clean. Be creative!
