Eugene G. Roberts
Eugene Gardner Roberts passed peacefully Feb. 22, 2021, at the age of 88. A self-made man, Eugene worked his way up from a janitor as an eighth grader at his school to enlisting in the U.S. Air Corp in 1948. During his enlistment, he traveled all over the world until he retired in 1968 as Senior Master Sergeant. He continued working in the construction industry into his early 70s.
Does not matter where the service took him or where he lived, Barters Island has always been home.
He is proceeded by his children, Linda Roberts, Ronald Roberts, Patti Roberts, Maily Roberts-Jacobs, Tina Roberts-Dowling, Gary Roberts and Jessica Roberts-Johnson, family, and friends.
A memorial service for Eugene G. Roberts will be on July 23 at 10 a.m. at Barters Island Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Barters Island Baptist Church.
Hall Funeral Home and Tribute Center has the care of the arrangements.
