New parents and grandparents and other family members are invited to bring along their newborns to share their experiences with having a new addition to the family at the new Milestones Meet Up on the obstetrics unit on LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus.

The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m., except for November and December, when the group will meet only on the second Wednesday. There is no cost to participate, and any family member and their newborn are welcome to stop by, no matter where the child was born. Pre-registration is not required.

“The goal is for parents and their family members to compare notes with others to learn from and support each other, and to ask questions of our care team,” said Angela Russ, RN, BSN, OB Nurse Manager.  

The group is led by LincolnHealth registered nurses, and while the focus of the meet up is not on breastfeeding, certified lactation counselors and consultants are available to answer questions.
