Divine September weather was the ideal backdrop for last week’s First Friday Art Walk at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s Fall Member Show – the last of the 2024 season.
Artists and admirers gathered to view the latest works by artists including Marcia Brandwein, Joan Mayfield, Iris Goldstein, Andrea Ernst-Sheehan, Leigh Pumilia, Charlie Nowell, Wendy Bellows, Susanlora Morris and Fran Scanell.
Meanwhile, upstairs in BRAF’s Harbor Room Gallery, Georjean Machulis was hosting what could only be described as a “happening.” Her solo show includes a riot of works on hand-made paper, painted wood, small sculpture and watercolors – many drawing inspiration from dreams.
The Fall Member show will be on view until Sunday, Sept. 22, while Machulis’ solo show will be on view until Tuesday the 24th. The Boothbay Region Art Foundation is located at 1 Townsend Ave. in downtown Boothbay Harbor. Summer hours: Tuesday - Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
