Gallery donates to task force
Gold/Smith Gallery has decided to share the holiday gift giving season with St. Andrews Task Force Fund and the efforts in the region to help save our beloved hospital. From now through New Years Eve, 25 percent of all sales of 14k gold with diamond jewelry made in Italy will be donated immediately to the task force fund. This includes rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants all created by master goldsmith and diamond setter Gino Iacobelli, now 89 years young, from Arezzo, Italy.
Iacobelli has been creating jewelry since he was 12 years old, first with his parents at their small workshop in central Arezzo, and for the last 65 years in his own workshop, now with his son and daughter-in-law, too.
Iacobelli's work is flawless, up to date, yet truly classic. He is famous in Arezzo for his macro-pave pieces which seem as though the diamonds were painted on by small brush rather than incastrating them into the gold pieces with mini prongs or points.
Gold/Smith Gallery hopes everyone will consider this offer a truly heartfelt way to give “twice” for the holiday season and help save St. Andrews Hospital with these 25 percent donations. The gallery can be reached at 207-633-6252 for more information. It is next to the Ebb Tide Restaurant at 41 Commercial St., in Boothbay Harbor.
