Trae Stover's first grade class at Wiscasset Elementary School was given a batch of beautiful handknit mittens recently. The students quickly fell so in love with their new mittens, they wore them inside as well as outside. They wore their mittens as they wrote thank you notes to Joan Reed, the generous knitter of all the mittens.

The first graders are grateful for these mittens and looked forward to wearing them while making snowmen.
