Dear Editor:

We would like to give a big shout out “Thank You” to the generous men and women who raked, cut, shoveled, and cleared away the winter’s debris from the grounds and parking area at the 1811 Historic Jail and Museum on Federal Street.  A large group of volunteers arrived with  good humor and many  tools  this past Friday morning. They worked until the grass, bushes, weeds and soil resumed  their spring and summer presentation. Soggy, colorless leaves, cigarette butts, and other stuff once squished beneath mounds of gray snow — all gone.  Thank you so much, LCHS volunteers!
