The Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in downtown Damariscotta is offering a half-price sale on all children’s books, starting on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and continuing through Christmas Eve.

Rosie Bensen, co-manager of the shop, said, “We’ve recently received many donations of wonderful children’s books for all ages, from board books for the little ones, to fiction and non-fiction for young adults. This would be a great time for customers to stock up on gifts and for winter reading.”

The book shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Besides thousands of books in dozens of categories, it offers music CDs and records, DVDs, audiobooks, puzzles, and games. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and all proceeds support the collections and activities of Skidompha Public Library. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
