All cookbooks at Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in downtown Damariscotta will be on sale at half price from Tuesday, Dec. 5 through Monday, Dec. 18.

According to Rosie Bensen, assistant manager of the shop, “Thanks to our generous donors, we have dozens of cookbooks, of many different types, that we can offer at great prices just in time for holiday cooking and giving.”

The shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing, is a major source of funding for Skidompha Public Library. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and proceeds support the library’s programs and collections. Earlier this year, Yankee magazine named it the best used book store in Maine.

It is open every day from 9 to 4.  Donations are accepted during those hours.
