Heartwood Theater Summer Camp registration is open for students graduating grades 5-12. Students may choose from two camps – Shakespeare/Acting (two weeks) and Broadway Music (three weeks) or participate in both with permission of the camp director.

Mastery of Shakespeare creates a solid foundation for all types of theater performance; this camp delves in with individualized and small group instruction in speaking, understanding and performing a cut version of “Macbeth.”  Disciplines include mime and circus arts, stage combat, language and performance prep. Camp runs from June 28 - July 9, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be two evening performances July 9 and 10. Camp fee: $500

Using “Madagascar, Jr!”  as a vehicle for learning, the three-week Broadway Camp focuses on three major aspects of performance: voice, dance/movement and acting.  Disciplines include voice, choreography and performance preparation, culminating in two evening performances, July 15 and 16. Camp runs from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday -Friday, June 28 – July 16. Camp fee $750.

For students wishing to attend both sessions (stamina and attention skills for a full day a must), permission of the camp director is required. June 28 – July 16, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Camp fee: $900.
