The next Ocean on Tap event will take place on Thursday, April 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Footbridge Brewery, 25 Granary Way in Boothbay Harbor. Dr. Laura Sofen of the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences will be speaking about the world's most remote ocean region.

Come experience a virtual reality rendering of a two-month expedition in 2021-2022 from Tahiti to Chile and learn about the phytoplankton and chemistry along this variable transect.

Ocean on Tap is an informal, ocean-centric speaker series organized by researchers from Bigelow Laboratory and hosted by Footbridge Brewery in Boothbay Harbor.

Our goal is to bring people of the community together over the fascinating world of the ocean. At these events, speakers will share their corner of expertise in the ocean, and attendees are encouraged to ask questions.
