Dear Editor:

I first met Holly in Boothbay back in 1999, when I was 9 years old, and shortly thereafter, she made a conscious decision to be one of my parents. Many young girls notoriously do not get along with their stepmothers, but Holly worked past that stigma, and played an instrumental role in shaping the woman I am today.

Holly has always been my moral compass. When I made mistakes, she helped me navigate solutions without judgment. She taught me to always see the best in others and to find strength within myself. She showed me how to advocate for what is right and never give up. She helped me acknowledge that my ideas have value. She gave me the courage to speak up! Holly has always been driven, generous, hardworking, and selfless. I could not have asked for a better role model.

Holly approached being my stepmom like she approaches everything she decides to take on – with her whole heart. We are so lucky to have her fighting for the betterment of our community and supporting the individuals who call this area home. Holly is committed to making this region a place where young people, like me, want come back to. So let’s elect her to the House, where she can serve this region to the best of her ability!

I am so honored to support Holly as the next Representative for House District 89! Yes, I am incredibly biased, because my life is so much better because of Holly. She is the backbone of this community, and if you live here, your life is better because of her too!
