Legion breakfasts start June 14
Dear Editor:
I am excited to announce that American Legion Post 36 will once again be serving breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m., Sunday, June 14, National Flag Day!
The members of our breakfast team have reviewed all the requirements provided in the Governor’s Executive Order and are prepared to serve the public in a safe and compliant manner. Everyone entering the Hall will be asked to wear a face mask. If you don’t have one, we will be selling a packet which includes a face mask and two raffle tickets for a gorgeous, handmade poppy quilt for $10. Once seated, of course, masks are not necessary. Our traditional breakfast will be served with the exception of the waffles which will be considered as well as other items for our next breakfast. You can expect your food to be plated by our breakfast team and a safe 6-foot perimeter will be maintained at all times. The tables will be arranged to ensure proper social distancing and, weather permitting, we plan for some additional seating outside on picnic tables. A take-out option will also be available. We do request everyone’s patience during this first breakfast and we hope to see many of our old friends again on June 14.
