Lincoln Home and PWA share art
Lincoln Home, the retirement and assisted living facility in Newcastle, has recently reached a mutually beneficial agreement with Pemaquid Watershed Association (PWA) to display some beautiful artwork from the PWA collection for the benefit of Lincoln Home residents and visitors while at the same time assisting PWA to further its mission. The agreement is initially for six months.
Stop by Lincoln Home at 22 River Road, Newcastle, to view some amazing pieces of art from the PWA collection. The art works are spread through the public rooms and public hall areas of the Lincoln Home and can be viewed by the public between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
These pieces were generously donated to the PWA organization over the past few years. The collection includes paintings, photographs, prints and drawings, most of which are original works of art and range in size and scope.
The artists include Julie Babb, William Emrich, Michael Austin Kane, Jan Kilburn, Timothy Leeman, Sherrie Tucker, Doug Tweddale; and the late artists Charles Goodhue, Joseph A. Fiore, Karl Pappendick, Charles Copeland and Ron Fletcher.
All pieces are for sale and the recommended prices are posted. 100 percent of the proceeds from sales will benefit the work that PWA does to conserve the natural resources of the Pemaquid River watershed.
The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road.
